In Doctor Trueta street in Barcelona, in the heart of the 22@ technology district, a new student residence is being built. It is a building that aims to recover the image of the old factories that filled the Poble Nou borrough at the beginning of the 20th century.
Thus, the building will recover the old artisan design in aspects such as the façade, where brick (the main construction material at the beginning of the last century) will be predominant and will become the hallmark of the building.
The façade will also have empty spaces and balconies that will generate a second skin that will add extra protection in terms of thermal efficiency.
For this project, GARCIA FAURA will manufacture and install 170 aluminium exterior enclosures with thermal bridge break and glazing of high acoustic and thermal performance. The works will be executed throughout this year 2024.
GARCIA FAURA has already executed works for student residences in Barcelona, like two in the Pallars street or another one in the same district 22@.
