GARCIA FAURA renovates the façade of Valdeluz School in Madrid

The comfort of the people who use a building is very important, especially if we talk about an educational centre attended by students from kindergarten to high school. For this reason, Dragados and Valdeluz School have trusted GARCIA FAURA to improve the energy efficiency of their educational facilities.

Valdeluz School is an educational institution with more than fifty years of history. It is located in Fermín Caballero street, in Madrid, in the northern area of the Spanish capital, on land that occupies more than 33,000 square meters between school buildings, sports and services.

Through an architectural project of the office formed by Antonio Zapatero and Angélica Holguín, GARCIA FAURA is executing the rehabilitation of the facade of the school facilities with the aim of improving energy efficiency and gaining in welfare for both students and teachers.

The works consist of the installation of a thousand square metres of cladding, formed by composite panel façade modules and lattices with adjustable aluminium slats. The panels are formed by external aluminium sheets and an inner core formed by resins with mineral charge, fire retardant component and international classification of high resistance B-s1-d0.

GARCIA FAURA will also install in the educational centre of Madrid 350 units of aluminium carpentry of hidden leaf with thermal bridge break and different types of opening, 1.400 square metres of glazing and more than 3.000 linear metres of crowns and lintel.
