GARCIA FAURA takes advantage of the drive to build public housing

The construction of protected housing begins to wake up in Catalonia. City councils, municipal consortiums and the Catalan goverment lead the construction of these types of accommodation, according to the Housing Agency of Catalonia. Thus, in 2018, 667 public homes were built, all in the demarcation of Barcelona.

The figure, although still far from the 10,000 that began to be built in 2008, before the impact of the economic crisis, begins to have an impact on the activity of GARCIA FAURA. In fact, the company participates in some public promotions especially in the city of Barcelona.

In fact, in the Catalan capital the construction of public housing is reaching unprecedented figures. Currently, the Barcelona City Council has 66 projects underway that will add a total of 4,547 homes. The goal is for the public housing park in Barcelona to grow to 13,000 in 2022.

In the projects where GARCIA FAURA participates, it is worth highlighting the promotions underway in Sant Andreu and the Comte Borrell and Sancho de Ávila streets and the endowment housing in Fort Pienc, in addition to the homes promoted by the Metropolitan Institute for Land Promotion and Heritage Management ( IMPSOL) in Sant Boi de Llobregat.
