GARCIA FAURA’s enclosures for the rehabilitation of the Maury-Parés House in Barcelona

GARCIA FAURA participates in the project of reconversion of the Maury-Parés House, a building constructed at the end of the 19th century in the middle of the Eixample district of Barcelona, very close to the Rambla de Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia.

The intervention contemplates the refurbishment of the elements that give the building its personality, such as the façades, the interior courtyards and the lobby, and the construction of 24 modern, spacious homes, full of natural light. Some of them will be adapted for the elderly.

The project includes two underground floors, a ground floor with commercial premises and six floors (two of which will be newly built) with flats, which will be equipped to the highest standards of thermal comfort and energy efficiency. There will be duplex ground floors with private gardens and duplex penthouses with terraces.

GARCIA FAURA develops about sixty sets of enclosures formed by fixed balconies with high performance aluminium profiles and high efficiency glazing, with solar control glass and argon chamber.

Sixty individual enclosures are also manufactured and installed with concealed leaf profiling and low-emissivity glazing, as well as lattices, façade panels and other metalwork.

The work on the Maury-Parés house will be characterised by sustainability, as the building will have the latest generation aerothermal technology applied to the air conditioning and water installations, which will give it the highest efficiency and sustainability with a class A energy rating.
