In a world increasingly concerned about the consequences of climate change, sustainable construction is becoming one of the key elements in helping to reduce the environmental impact of any new construction project. And, in this sense, the products and services offered by GARCIA FAURA have a lot to say.

Sustainable construction covers all the processes in the sector, from the design of the project to the construction itself, through its commissioning and the entire life of the building. All with the aim of achieving a building as ‘green’ as possible and, therefore, with the least environmental impact.

At GARCIA FAURA we have known for a long time what it means to work for construction projects that seek to reduce their carbon footprint. Thus, in recent years we have made buildings that enhance natural light more than ever, that give the façade a relevant role as an element of thermal insulation or that affect the revegetation of spaces as protagonists.

Certified efficiency with international prestige

GARCIA FAURA specializes in the development of facades, a key element in projects that aspire to obtain an international certification that guarantees their environmental efficiency. A good example is the LEED certification, which brings together a set of standards and requirements that certify that the building is sustainable and compatible with the standards of eco-efficiency in sustainability, saving water, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, and environmental quality of interiors. GARCIA FAURA has participated in recent LEED-certified projects such as the headquarters of Naturgy or Cuatrecases, in Barcelona, ​​and several office buildings, newly built or rehabilitated.

The company has also developed projects with BREEAM certification (or pre-certification criteria), which measures the degree of environmental sustainability of buildings with the evaluation of ten aspects: management, health and well-being, energy, transport, water, materials, waste, ecological land use, pollution and innovation. In this group, for example, projects such as the Europa Building office building in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat or the Archipel business complex on the outskirts of Paris have been completed.

GARCIA FAURA is currently working on the development of new projects also designed with environmental certification criteria, such as the Selva de Mar development, the Torre Nova Plaça Europa or the Smart office building.
