OFI7 La Francia Centro Empresarial is a corporate complex located in Medellín Poblado and comprising a 17-storey tower intended for office use, including an auditorium, meeting rooms, terrace and car park. It is constructed on a 2,826 square metre plot, within 80 metres of la venida El Poblado, in an area with great ease of access, near to the communication links to the airport. It is an area that welcomes a cross-section of organisations and companies that is most representative of the national economy, as well as prominent shopping centres and other recreational and leisure areas. The building’s architecture is modern, refined and functional, conceptualised to be transformed into the benchmark business centre for the “Golden Mile” of Medellín.
GARCIA FAURA undertook all of the enclosure works, consisting in the fabrication and installation of 3,500 square metres of aluminium windows and doors with high technical performance European section profiles. The executive project combines totally fixed spaces with the moving parts of opening elements projecting to the outside, as well as 500 square meters of lower areas constructed with laminated glass facades incorporating solar protection and partial screen printing. The end result will be excellent indoor climatic comfort and sufficient sound attenuation, to the benefit of the effective development of the business activities to be conducted in the building.
