GARCIA FAURA intervenes in the extension of the Reial Club de Polo of Barcelona

GARCIA FAURA will leave its mark in the works of extension of the facilities of the Reial Club de Polo of Barcelona. The sports association, which has one hundred and twenty-six years of history, is raising a new building, of approximately 9.000 square meters, which will vertebrate and connect the interior and exterior spaces of the facilities in the Diagonal Avenue of Barcelona.

The new building will be located between the historic chalet, the open-air swimming pools and the diving course. Precisely, one of the main functions of the new construction will be to renovate the grandstand of this Olympic show jumping track, with greater capacity and a better view and perspective.

The new construction, designed by the architectural firm Batlle i Roig, will also house a gymnasium, two indoor swimming pools and a convention hall, among others. The lower part will be a porch and will serve to connect all the club’s facilities through a modern, accessible and sustainable design, replacing other buildings that have become obsolete.

For this project, GARCIA FAURA will manufacture and install some fifty aluminium and glass enclosures, of different types and openings, including ports, windows, fixed and sets of modules. They are also developing 320 square metres of curtain walling with aluminium profiles.
