{"id":42045,"date":"2026-03-12T11:06:24","date_gmt":"2026-03-12T09:06:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.garciafaura.com\/el-miteco-confia-en-garcia-faura-per-a-la-renovacio-de-la-seva-seu-historica\/"},"modified":"2026-03-12T11:22:47","modified_gmt":"2026-03-12T09:22:47","slug":"el-miteco-confia-en-garcia-faura-per-a-la-renovacio-de-la-seva-seu-historica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.garciafaura.com\/en\/el-miteco-confia-en-garcia-faura-per-a-la-renovacio-de-la-seva-seu-historica\/","title":{"rendered":"MITECO entrusts GARCIA FAURA with the renovation of its historic headquarters"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">GARCIA FAURA is participating in the refurbishment of the headquarters of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (MITECO) with the aim of improving its energy efficiency while respecting the aesthetics of the historic building.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">The headquarters of the <strong>Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (MITECO)<\/strong> occupies one of the buildings in the <strong>Nuevos Ministerios government complex<\/strong>, specifically on its southern side, at the intersection of San Juan de la Cruz square and Paseo de la Castellana, in the heart of Madrid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">The complex, which houses other ministries, was begun in the 1930s during the Second Republic but was not completed until the 1940s, after the end of the Civil War.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">The work currently being carried out aims to <strong>improve the energy efficiency<\/strong> of the <strong>MITECO<\/strong> headquarters and <strong>implement renewable energies<\/strong>, thereby halving CO\u2082 emissions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">To this end, the building will use <strong>geothermal energy<\/strong>, but will also replace all its windows and doors with others featuring a thermal break system, which will improve the insulation of courtyards and roofs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\">In this regard, <strong>GARCIA FAURA<\/strong> is manufacturing and installing more than 220 <strong>fa\u00e7ade<\/strong> units for this project, with <strong>iron and glass profiles<\/strong> and different types and openings, in order to preserve the building&#8217;s aesthetics as much as possible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\"><strong>GARCIA FAURA<\/strong> has created a <strong>green sealing gasket specifically for this project<\/strong>, when they are usually black due to the original material, and special brass handles with a classic design.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GARCIA FAURA is participating in the refurbishment of the headquarters of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (MITECO) with the aim of improving its energy efficiency while respecting the aesthetics of the historic building.
